Antique c1820 Irish Sterling Silver Hand Engraved Tea Creamer & Sugar Bowl Set
Presented is a lovely, antique creamer and sugar bowl or dish set made by Stephen Bergin of Dublin, Ireland between 1819 and 1821. This early 19th century, Georgian set is hand engraved with lovely floral designs. The pieces have never been monogrammed. Each piece is marked with the Irish crowned harp and Hibernia marks for Dublin and sterling silver purity as well as a makers mark for Stephen Bergin. The sugar bowl has a date letter Y for the year 1819 and the creamer has a date letter A for the year 1821. This set is in great overall condition, especially considering the age of the set. There are a couple of tiny dings to one corner of the sugar bowl and to the creamer, but as you can see in the photographs, they are hardly noticeable. The sugar bowl measures 8 inches from handle to handle and is 5 1/4 inches tall. The creamer measures 6 1/2 inches from handle to spout and is 4 3/4 inches tall.
