Up for your consideration is this impressive antique Georgian tea pot and stand. It has beautiful etching which includes the family crest on one side and an ostrich on the other. It has a tapered cylindrical spout and a carved wooden handle. This exceptional antique teapot was crafted by Henry Chawner London, A predecessor silversmith of Edward Barnard & Sons Ltd. I updated this information after seeing the teapot and stand were not made by the same person. The teapot is in very nice condition with no dents or other damage, and sits flat. The only signs of wear I see (last photo) are minor surface scratches on the bottom from normal wear and light writings of small numbers and letters from what I assume are owners inscriptions. The outside of the teapot has been cleaned and polished. Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this example of Georgian teaware. Year Mark: r Stand / b Teapot.
