ENGLISH STERLING GOBLET EMPRESS EUGENIE - WIDOW NAPOLEON III A fine turn of the century British sterling silver palace size hunt goblet. Bears period engraved cypher for (we believe) Empress Eugenie the widow of Napoleon III. The Empress exiled to England from the 1870s to her death in 1927. From the London work shop of Skinner & Co. The firm opened its doors in 1903. In tapering bulbous circular form with center crest. Twin tribal masks, and stylized almost whimsical hunt scene.
Tapering stem and foot with geometric and beaded decoration. This 103 year old British Empress Eugenie palace goblet is 7 1/2 inches. Tall and 5 1/2 wide weighs a touch over 15 standard ounces. Interior clean as if little or never used.
