ENGLISH STERLING TEA KETTLE & STAND 1728 KING'S GOLDSMITH From our 45 year collection. A fine and rare 1728 British sterling silver tea kettle on matching stand, retaining the original, hallmarked burner. Charles Hatfield, one of the King's silversmiths.

Apprenticed to Joseph Barbutt, 1711 and then David Willaume, from 1715. William perhaps the greatest silversmith of the first half 18th century. Goldsmith to King George when he crafted this kettle, from 1723 to 1739.
