This is a very important and rare center-piece Epergne English Georgian sterling silver circa 1811 by one of the top most famous English silversmith. This Birmingham epergne comes with 5 crystal fitted original oval shape hand-cut crystals. The top large oval crystal measures about:11 1/2" by:8 1/8" with the height of:5" and 4 small crystals measures: 5 3/4" by:4 1/8" by high of:2 1/8".The total height including crystal bowl is:12 1/2" and longest length or diameter measures:22 3/8". The 4 branches are fully stamped and the numbers are:1 through 4. The stamps reads: Anchor(Birmingham)-George (head looking at right)Lion-MB-letter "n" that belongs to circa 1811.
The center piece is in excellent condition for its age and all the pieces are very well kept and fits perfectly. It comes with magnificent details of 4 lion heads, grape design and 4 lion paws.
