A Lovely Georgian Sterling Silver Lemon Strainer. With Beaded Rim and Cast Beaded Handle. Assayed in London in 1781, during the reign of King George III.
Probably Made by Hester Bateman. This is a very well executed Georgian Silver lemon strainer. The pattern radiating from the center is just fabulous and the condition of this piece is exceptional, with original clip to set on the lip of the receiving vessel. It is 4" in diameter, 6" long overall, 1 1/4 deep and weighs 91 grams. There are 4 hallmarks in the bowl. Makers' Mark'HB' for Hester Bateman - we strongly believe although a little rubbed.
