Pair of William IV sterling silver covered vegetable serving dishes. Made by Robert Garrard II in London in 1832. Each: Round and lobed bowl with tapering sides and gadrooned rim. Lion armorial engraved on interior. Cover stepped and domed with slash lobing and gadrooned rim.Armorial with Latin motto Nec opprimere nec opprimi (that is, Nor to oppress, nor be oppressed) engraved on exterior. Sumptuous by an eminent Regency silversmith. Bowls also have Panton Street stamps. Dimensions: H 7 3/4 x D 11 in.
