Up for sale is an old Georgian English Silver Coffee pot. George II Newcastle Tapering Cylindrical Coffee Pot, on tuck-in base, later engraved with a vacant floral cartouche and flat-chased with rayed motifs, scale-work and floral designs bordered by strap-work around the sockets of the fluted spout and wooden handle, repeated on the stepped domed cover centred by a bell finial, 10 high, marked on the base and cover, by James Kirkup 1743, weight 28. Oz 3 dwt (all in).
It does look as if the cartouche had initials at one time. It would make a handsome addition to your collection.
