Georgian Antique English Sterling Silver Dish Cross 1783
This is a fine antique Georgian sterling silver dish cross or trivet made by Burrage Davenport and hallmarked in London 1783. It is in very good condition with no repair or damage but is lacking the small oil burner. Hallmarks are clearly struck and the cross stands firmly on four feet which are attached to adjustable bars to allow for dishes of different sizes. There is an armorial of a mythical snake like creature wrapped around a spear. A good quality Georgian silver piece offered at a discounted price due to the lack of the burner.
