Georgian Corinthian Column Sterling Silver United Kingdom English Candlesticks

If you are looking for the best look no more you just found them. These are Georgian Corinthian columns sterling silver English candlesticks with the mark of I.

C in a rectangular cartouche. This is the symbol for the maker John Cramer. Who worked in London in 1797 to 1810.

I believe the date to be 1810. There is no damage or repair to these candlesticks which stands approximately 14 inches tall and the base is approximately 4.75 x 4.75. These are of the highest quality, they have all the bells and whistles the top of the Corinthian column is draped in a leafy garland. This pattern is repeated on all four sides. The threading on the column is overlapped in between each row, very similar to a Simon Willard grandfather clock case.

The bottom has more leafy garland supported by four Rams head and there is a raised shield which I assume is where a monogram would have been. These have never been monogrammed.

It is a small step down pattern below this with a draped pattern on all four sides. The base is also a step down.

Please look at my photographs. These are clearly marked on each candlestick, and even the bow bash clearly marked with the rampant lion cartouche on each candlestick.. There is a green felt cloth on both of these candlesticks with a wooden base, surrounded by glue.

There is one wooden base which is loose. It does have a little bend to the wood.

I leave this up to you. Has a great shine to them, but if you wanted them to be shinier you can polish them even more. I leave this up to your discretion. One weigh approximately 26 ounces the other 25 ounces, with the wooden base and the glue. Please read all of the information down below so that you understand exactly how we do business.
