Isaac Cookson Newcastle Georgian Antique English Sterling Silver Coffee Pot 1732
This lovely Georgian sterling silver coffee pot/hot water jug was made by Isaac Cookson and hallmarked in Newcastle 1732. Cookson is regarded as the pre-eminent early Newcastle silversmith and therefore highly collectible. The coffee pot is in very good condition and stands firmly on a raised circular base. The scrolled fruitwood handle is firmly fixed and the domed lid has an urn finial. The overall chasing is superb with further banded decoration to the spout.
