This is a fine pair of George 111 antique sterling silver sauce boats made by Simeon Coley and both identically hallmarked for London 1763. They are in very good condition with overall ornate decoration.
They stand firmly on 3 hoof feet which have shell decoration to the bodies. The double scroll handles have further applied decoration and the sauce boats have attractive scalloped rims. Both boats have ornate cartouches with identical initials. The sauce boats have been made with a heavy gauge of silver.
Overall a lovely pair of Georgian silver sauceboats. Weight 405 gms (14 ozs).
