An extremely rare Irish solid sterling silver dessert spoon. It is hallmarked for Dublin 1804? With the makers marks being TF. It has been made to some form of teardrop or drop pattern which I have never before seen, nothing even similar on Irish flatware so it is potentially very rare. It has also been engraved with a crest of a demi lion rampant holding in its paws a closed helmet - this may have a connection to the Dungan or Dongan families.
It is in superb condition being free from dings splits distortions and repairs. It measures over 7.25 inches (8.6cms) long by 1.5 inches (3.8cms) across and weighs 51 grams. If you have any queries etc... To see lots more rare and beautiful silver.
