A rare Georgian Scottish solid sterling silver ladle. It is hallmarked for Edinburgh 1826 with the makers marks being M&S for Marshall & Sons. It has a traditional design having a Kings Pattern handle interestingly engraved with a lion crest for possible the Daniell or Marryatt Family. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs, light bowl marks from use.
It measures over 7.25 inches (18.3cms) long by over 2.5 inches (6.6cms) wide and weighs 70 grams. A rare Georgian Scottish example.
