A Matched Set of 4 Georgian Sterling Silver Salt Cellars. Of Circular Form with Beaded Rim on 3 Hoof Feet. Made in London in 1764/1774, during the reign of King George III. These Georgian Silver Salt Cellars are in the classic circular form on 3 cast hoof feet. And are nicely decorated with repoussed and chased floral decoration.The bowls are 2 1/2" in diameter, 1 1/2" high and weigh 270 grams total. The hallmarks are quite rubbed on these salts.
Two have a rubbed maker's mark - likely David Hennell. Date Letter'I' for 1764 London. The other two have Maker's Mark'D.
