A fine Georgian sterling silver domed tankard Date : Hallmarked London 1787 Period : George III Origin : Makers mark Thomas Wallis of London Body : Baluster with loop kinked handle. Pierced lever on the lid and spade finish on handle below the lower attachment. 20 cms tall Condition : Excellent, clear hallmarks to base and lid Restoration : None Weight : 795 grams (25.5 Troy ounces). One and three quarter pints capacity, two pints to the brim , seven or eight gills if you dare risk spilling it.
